Tommy Hill
Tommy was born and raised in Fresno California. At the early age of 13 years old he fell in love with the game of pool instantly when he walked into The Rack Family Billiards. He was immediately kicked out by the day man Rocky Antinucci due to his age but Tommy’s desire to watch the guys play and his consistent attempts to come inside wore down the elderly Italian man and eventually Tommy was allowed to stay.
Over the years Tommy took lessons from Rocky and grew into a very strong player. He learned the trade of a billiard mechanic and started making a name for himself as a player, cue repairman and table mechanic.
At 20 years old he went to work with Bert Schrager, hall of fame cue maker where he began to learn the skills to build cues. The call of the road was just to strong for tommy and he left to try his hand as a professional pool player. Over a ten year span Tommy played on both the Professional Billiards Tour and the Camel Pro Tour with mild success.
When Tommy was 30 years old his oldest son TJ was born. Tommy settled down to raise his family and took a ten year break from playing pool.
Tommy is now in his mid 50’s and lives in Fresno California with his wife Samantha. His son TJ is one of central California’s top players and his youngest son Connor is serving our nation in the US Navy where he is currently stationed overseas.
Tommy still enjoys playing competitive pool and is a PBIA master instructor but if you ask him what he loves most, excluding his family he will say he loves building and teaching people to use his Pro Jump Cue!!
